Recreation roads

[edit]

Alright, on the NDOR site, it lists data for the Link/Spur highways. However, the Recreation Roads are unlisted and unsigned. Looking through the various sources used on the NE highway articles on here, I noticed that the Recreation Roads are merely designated as another name of an existing road. See the entry for NE Recreation Road 2A for an example of what I'm talking about. With that said, I think in order to complete that section of this article, all we should do is make a table listing the RR designations in one column, and the road it's on in the other column. Thoughts? --Dbm11085 (talk) 22:00, 10 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I've never been able to find any info on Recreation Roads on the NDOR or the Nebraska Game and Parks Commission website (as those are the roads in state parks). The only place I've been able to locate info is at Jesse Whidden's Nebraska Roads website, [1], under the state link and spur highways section. However, they clearly do exist, as Jesse put one picture up on his website, plus the NDOR routelog lists those roads as intersecting roads.
I would personally do one column with the road and one with the park it is in. DandyDan2007 (talk) 09:35, 11 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
And it is done. Take a look. There may be a couple of errors in there; I tried my best to avoid that, but an extra pair of eyes looking it over won't hurt :). --Dbm11085 (talk) 22:06, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Sorting

[edit]

Should the link and spur lists be combined, since NDOR assigns the next letter no matter which type it is? --NE2 00:49, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]

What do you mean exactly? On the NDOR page, it lists Links and Spurs separately... --Dbm11085 (talk) 06:00, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
That doesn't mean we have to. I think it would make more sense to combine them so it's fully sorted by county, especially because of the numbering pattern. --NE2 18:22, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
If you are willing to reorganize the tables into one, go for it. --Dbm11085 (talk) 21:00, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not about to do it now, but if someone does wish to do it it's good to know that it's been suggested and "approved". --NE2 21:42, 12 April 2008 (UTC)[reply]
