Breadth of Article

Started article to remove a too lenghtly section with the New Netherland article proper, but realize that the placenames given as a result of the province in the Mid-Atlantic are far too numerous to include even in this one, which has actually become a list. It also tends to be titled toward my particular area of interest, the North River Region. The Hudson Valley towns are certainly under-represented, while those of the Delaware River region are negligible. Probably would be wise to make a choice a a very, very, very few to include in main article offer to reader less likely to pursue this particular line. Two very different sources for these names: an original settler from Norway or a geographic description (bergen means hills or mountains)

Each entry is linked to the "best" possible, meaning the one which gives contemporary name or location or is description of source Unsual in most articles to link headers, but seems very appropriate here to reduce rendunancyDjflem (talk) 01:01, 20 December 2008 (UTC)[reply]
