Edits made[edit]

I changed lettering cases where appropriate and added some addresses. I alphabetized the list by marker name, but after saving the page, I was wondering if they aren't listed in order by some master list inventory that exists some place? Every time a marker is added alphabetically, the left hand column will have to be re-numbered. Are those numbers necessary if they aren't keyed to a master list? Being able to locate a marker is the important thing, it seems to me, and alphabetically by marker name or by location, perhaps, seems simplest. If you feel like it, you could check this against what is on the hmdb.org site. There, you can narrow down to a county. Further down on this page here on wikipedia, I am asking about Kimber Fort. Carlm0404 (talk) 02:23, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]

More markers[edit]

I'm watching a video that contains one in Fort Montgomery, New York along US 9W ---------User:DanTD (talk) 04:51, 16 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Where is this marker on wikipedia?[edit]

https://web.archive.org/web/20130720023228/http://www.nysm.nysed.gov/historicmarkers/index.cfm From the above link, I found this listed for Unionville in Town of Minisink in this county.

KIMBER FORT AND MILL. GEORGE KIMBER, WIFE SARAH WESTFALL BOUGHT LAND 1759. EARLY NEIGHBORS JAMES CLARK AND WIFE SARAH VAN AUKEN LIVED MILE WEST Location: ON NYS 84 AT UNIONVILLE

End of marker text. Per wikipedia article about New York route 284, I see that the above-mentioned route 84 became route 284 to avoid confusion with Interstate 84. Carlm0404 (talk) 02:20, 27 June 2020 (UTC)[reply]
