The title List of Old Etonians in the Military strikes me as awkward. In British use, "military" generally refers to soldiers but not to sailors, although it can sometimes include marines and airmen. In American use, I think the meaning is broader? If the list is to be one of Old Etonian soldiers, that would be a better title, but I think it is probably intended to include men of all the armed services, whether British, Indian, or even foreign, so I suggest a move to List of Old Etonians in the armed services. Does anyone object to that? Moonraker (talk) 16:10, 28 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]

List of Old Etonians in the armed forces would make a better catch-all heading (and a little shorter to write than 'services'), considering that the College's record for alumni gathering 37 VCs between them is complicated by the fact they were not all in the British Army. BTW, an interesting addition for this page would be a list of those who made it to the supreme ranks of Field-Marshal, Admiral of the Fleet and Marshal of the RAF.Cloptonson (talk) 17:41, 8 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
