Page clean-up and reconstruction

Can I please ask someone to fix this page so that its more informative? For starters, we need to place more information about the characters themselves and less on his/her stats (such as birthdays, etc.).

I noted that this page is edited more than the main article itself, so I was hoping that perhaps one of the frequent editors would like to work on the page before I try to do any changes myself.

Add a personal character pages

Okay! For those who already notice, I intend to put some of the important and main characters due to the popularity.

Due to the character linkage that someone mention to me before, just add the informations in Sakura Wars characters page first. Then after finding a few picture of the character that was linked, I'll add it up and mention it in the history section.

So if any anime fans or controbutors of Sakura Wars want to contribute, please do so. Yet I might intend to put some pictures of the Kagekidan members.

So please do not erased the notice just yet until it's done.

I have removed the notice as you seem to have abandoned the idea of creating individual character pages. If the main character page ever gets too big, we can consider separating out some of the information then. Road Wizard 12:21, 26 June 2006 (UTC)

Infobox colours

Is it just me, or does the contrast of the colours in Maria's infobox and the title bar of Sumire's infobox make both a little unreadable? If others are having the same problem, should we change the font colour to white? Road Wizard 19:19, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

I can't get the code to work. I don't like the colors anyways and I'm thinking of changing them to all pink. --Kunzite 19:51, 9 July 2006 (UTC)

Separate Groups from Characters

I'm afraid the page became a bit disorganized as more and more information came in, and the addition of the infoboxes made it a bit worse - the layout is no longer uniform. What's more, not only are the list of characters within this page, but so does information about the factions (groups?) they belong to, which I believe no longer keeps to the topic.

May I please suggest that we create a separate page for a list of the groups found in the series? I think there's enough information about them to create another page of its own.

--Jay 10:38, 10 July 2006 (UTC)

I've removed my ugly info boxes. I think they were a good idea, but added too early (before any substantive test was created for the seperate characters.) I put them below. The page could be split up by troupe, but we should avoid splitting it up by character because there is still not enough info on each charactet to justify seperate pages. --Kunzite 15:44, 23 July 2006 (UTC)
I'm sorry - I didn't mean to make it sound like they're "ugly". I agree with you when you said that they're just added too early. I'll try to make a separate page containing a list of the different troupes, and avoid placing character descriptions (or member names, for that matter) so as to differentiate it from this character list. --Jay 10:39, 25 July 2006 (UTC)

A veteran of the Russian Revolution, Maria is the only member of the Hanagumi with prior experience of military tactics and warfare. This experience was why she was chosen to be the original leader of the group. However, though her struggles in Russia had left her an expert marksman and skilled tactician, she also became coldly logical and unwilling to interact with others on an emotional level. After a series of set backs, it was decided that Ōgami Ichiro should replace her as leader, with Maria remaining as his second. After an initial friction between the pair when Ogami arrived, Maria's attitude began to thaw slightly, though she still remains the most coldly emotional of the group.

Merging

I propose merging the artcle Itoshii Jean-Paul into this article because the former article is very short (WP:MM) and that song is minor (WP:FICT).--Mujaki 18:30, 28 June 2007 (UTC)

(Result)There is no dissenter for a week, so that this proposal is admitted. I merged "Itoshii Jean-Paul" into this page--Mujaki 04:34, 7 July 2007 (UTC)
  1. ^ Note: Ri Kōran's name (李紅蘭) is likely reference to the WWII-era Japanese/Manchukou singer Li Xianglan (李香蘭), known as Ri Kōran in Japan. Hiroi Ouji's claims the character is named after Kōran, a cousin in China, but he is known to jest. [1] The Japanese producers use "Ri Kohran" in various productions of the show. In vol. 2 of the manga, Tokyopop uses "Li Kohran" as the romanization. Kohran's cousin from China also appears in the series. She appears in the "Sakura Taisen Hanasaku" Musical as the teacher of the Otomegumi. Her name is written Hakuran Ri (李白蘭, Ri Hakuran) The name is a pun on Kohran's, changing the character for "crimson" to the character for "white". (In Chinese her name would be pronounced Li Bailan.)
  2. ^ Orihime, being half Japanese, uses Japanese naming order.
  3. ^ Many romanize the main character's name as "Leni" which is an actual German name (i.e. Leni Riefenstahl and Leni Stern). The Japanese versions romanizes the name as "Reni". Tokyopop romanized the name as "Leni" in the third volume of the manga. The official Japanese spelling of her last name uses the German scharfes S: Milchstraße.
