Carter and Adam relation
[edit]The page lists them as half-brothers, do we know for sure they have different fathers? I remember the artist guy raised Carter but I can't remember what she said about Adam's dad.
Also when Cat says at the end of Solitude that she's going to go home and hug her son, I assume this means Carter since Adam moved away again after Kara dumped him, would this second mention upgrade Adam guest to recurring or would he physically need to appear on-screen first. 184.145.18.50 (talk) 07:06, 1 March 2016 (UTC)
Recurring and Guest character changes
[edit]I was looking at the Recurring and Guest Character sections, and think we ought to discuss making some changes. There are a few characters who have made or are soon to be making multiple appearances on the show (Zor-El, Livewire, Miranda Crane) who are listed as Guest characters when they probably ought to be listed as Recurring, and several characters who are listed as Recurring characters yet have only made a single appearance thus far (Adam Foster, Cameron Chase, Master Jailer, Young Kal-El). Yes, I know that most of those characters were reported as having recurring roles - which is why they're currently listed under that heading - but I'm wondering if it wouldn't be more prudent to wait until they reappear before adding them to that particular section.
I'm also wondering if we ought not to list Agent Vasquez (Briana Venskus) as a Recurring character because she's made a number of appearances and definitely qualifies as such.DigificWriter (talk) 04:10, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- A good rule of thumb I use for determining recurring over guest is 4 or more appearances, because that differentiates a "recurring arc" (say someone appearing just for a 2-3 episode stretch). So Zor-El, Livewire, and Miranda Crane should probably still be guests at this point, and Adam Foster (2 episodes I believe), Cameron Chase, Master Jailer and Young Kal-El joining the guest section. I would also add Agent Vasquez to recurring. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 18:46, 22 March 2016 (UTC)
- That rule might be your personal guidepost, but it doesn't work unless it's also applied to at least a good half-dozen of the characters currently listed as having "Recurring" roles, and I don't think it's wise to make that many sudden drastic changes to an article that's been as-is for nearly 6 months.DigificWriter (talk) 22:25, 27 March 2016 (UTC)
- This "personal guidepost" is used in multiple articles like this, and as Favre said, helps differentiate multiple-episode guest spots from recurring character arcs. And we don't keep something the same just because it has been like that for a long time (or even a not so long time, like 6 months). If something needs to be changed, then it needs to be changed. - adamstom97 (talk) 01:01, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Do you guys really want to move 10 of the 16 characters currently listed in the "Recurring" section to the "Guest" section? Because that's what you're're looking at having to do if you apply the rule that characters have to have appeared more than twice in order to count as recurring.DigificWriter (talk) 02:20, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- Yes, we do want to move 10 characters to the Guest section, those being Eliza Danvers, Jeremiah Danvers, Sam Lane, Leslie Willis, Cameron Chase, Miranda Crane, Adam Foster, Kal-El, Master Jailer, and Indigo. None of them are recurring characters yet, especially those that have only appeared once. - adamstom97 (talk) 03:33, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- You'd better lock the article to edits, then, because you're potentially opening the floodgates on "spam edits" from people putting things back the way they were, especially since pretty much every single one of those characters were officially announced as having recurring status.DigificWriter (talk) 04:17, 28 March 2016 (UTC)
- The adjustments can be made once the season ends in a few weeks and we see who actually appeared in a substantial recurring role, and who was just guests over 1-3 episodes. I've also added heading sentences to each of the section, explaining who is included in them. They were pulled directly (and modified accordingly) from the ones used on Arrow and The Flash's character pages. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:16, 28 March 2016 (UTC)

Lena Luthor: Regular vs Recurring
[edit]I noticed that you guys have Lena Luthor listed as recurring, but, after what happened last time with Jeremy Jordan's Wynn, I think it'd be more practical to defer to what we originally learned about the character in previously released information as opposed to what TVLine says in their casting article, mainly because they seem to be using the term "recurring" in a very general sense (just as, it turned out, had happened when the news about Jeremy Jordan's casting came out).
If you don't want to list her as a Series Regular without more concrete confirmation, maybe we could just move her to a more "general casting" section for the time being, and make a note as to the full extent of her status being up in the air?DigificWriter (talk) 00:31, 5 August 2016 (UTC)
Hoeclin, Superman, and his placement on the article
[edit]@2605:6000:6421:7300:3538:ED8A:2F95:72E4:, this is a CHARACTERS article, not an ACTORS article. Kal-El / Superman first appeared in season 1, albeit as an unseen character and an "alternate version", but regardless, they need to be placed under a "Season 1" heading. At this time, that heading is the one under "Guest stars" because the character only made one actual appearance, and is scheduled to appear in only the first two episodes of season 2 at this time per this source. That amounts to a total of 3 appearances, which is not yet "recurring". (Our wording even on the article for guest stars is some recurring, who appear in lesser roles.
) Wikipedia is always changing and we are never in any rush to get things done. If Hoeclin gets more appearances, that will classify him as recurring for the series, and his info can be moved up to the "Season 1" heading under "Recurring characters". - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:00, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
- Additionally, I forgot to mention that "the source" you added is not a reliable one, and regardless, stems from TV Line, but they are not reporting any new info at this time. Again, it is only known that Hoeclin will be in the 2 episodes, with the hope for more, but that only it: just a hope. Nothing is known to the public and readers at this time if he will be in more episodes. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 15:03, 11 August 2016 (UTC)
Katie McGrath
[edit]Just wondering if we want to keep the fact Katie has been upgraded to a series regular in Lena's bit since I'm see an edit war. Should we keep it or just leave it and edit her bit when Season 3 comes around? --TheHiddenDemons (talk) 17:58, 24 March 2017 (UTC)
- Absolutely nothing wrong in keeping the info. Users did not agree with moving the info to the main table until season 3. But completely excluding the info should not be done. - Favre1fan93 (talk) 16:38, 25 March 2017 (UTC)

- Great, Alex 21, I just did. The problem is that if a whole week it was there, and here, without a fix, I thought maybe I'm wrong, and there is something that makes that text right. As you can see, I have very bad English. IKhitron (talk) 11:50, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

Article for Superman
[edit]The cast section for Superman and Lois has the name for an article for Arrowverse Superman, even though no such article actually exists. Do you think it's time for Arrowverse Superman to have his own article? Leader Vladimir (talk) 03:22, 15 March 2021 (UTC)
