Shouldn't this be "List of Notable Syrians" or "List of Famous Syrians"??? It's kind of ominous and strange to just call it "List of Syrians". --flyhighplato 19:34, 14 Oct 2004 (UTC)
I found it not funny at all that you call it ominous to have it named as a "List of Syrians", but after I stopped laughing I realised I sort of agree with you on this one. — Metaprimer 07:24, 12 August 2007 (UTC)
Helen Thomas is Lebanese, not Syrian
Unless anyone has any objections, I will remove Helen Thomas from the List of Syrians. I have not been able to find any viable sources to reinforce this claim. I have repeatedly heard her described as Lebanese-American in many news sources, and she is listed as such elsewhere in Wikipedia.

I removed it for you :). --Inahet 23:16, 19 July 2006 (UTC)
Cool. That was fast! User:kylesobrien 16:56, 2006 Jul 24 (UTC)
Alphabetical Order
The list claims to be in Alphabetical Order but it is not. We need to sort it, preferably by last name. --Abuwael 06:54, 26 October 2007 (UTC)
Un-sourced entries
I propose that all un-sourced names on the list of people are deleted in order to comply with the guidance of WP:BLP. I have added {{cn}} tags against the most obvious unsourced. Where there are linked articles, ideally these must also include footnoted citations in this article as any original verification of names based on a link is subject to change as the linked article changes. Unless there are policy related objections or a clear rationale to comply with BLP in some other way, I shall remove uncited entries tomorrow. Fæ (talk) 16:54, 7 July 2010 (UTC)
