Stupendous Yappi

[edit]

What about the Stupendous Yappi? If you can have Jose chung, you can have Yappi. He was definitely in more episodes.67.71.120.129 05:44, 25 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

A source that can be used Truth Is Out There: The Official Guide to the X Files

[edit]

There is a book called Truth Is Out There: The Official Guide to the X Files by Brian Lowry. If you need more X-Files information (especially about development of episodes), get the book and cite it. WhisperToMe (talk) 05:58, 5 January 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Shannon McMahon

[edit]

If this page is to only feature characters who appeared in at least 3 episodes, then her section should probably be removed. Even if she may have been intended to be a recurring character, the fact remains that she ultimately only appeared in 2 episodes and is, within the scope of the X-Files series, probably not notable enough to be worth mentioning outside of an episode page for the 2 part episode she appeared in. You are right, that information should be included in the "Nothing Important Happened Today" episode article... I'll remove it later on today or the following week. Okay. --TIAYN (talk) 13:07, 22 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Gibson Praise

[edit]

Gibson's article does not include any sources, and it seems that he is not an important enough character to merit his own page (he appears less than Knowle Rohrer). I propose we move the contents of Gibson Praise here and delete that article.

Merge the article, this article is still under-construction, so its missing many recurring characters, especially from season eight and nine! --TIAYN (talk) 08:49, 23 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Billy Miles

[edit]

Is Billy Miles worthy of inclusion in this list? By my count, he appears in more than four episodes... ThirteenOfTwo (talk) 06:06, 25 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

All characters that have appeared in more than three episodes are "worthy" of inclusion in this list. This list is incomplete, which is said at the bottom of the list. --TIAYN (talk) 15:44, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Smoking Man

[edit]

Recommend CGB Spender get his own article. ThirteenOfTwo (talk) 07:13, 27 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

He already does! :) Cigarette Smoking Man Quiddity99 (talk) 21:45, 27 August 2009 (UTC)Quiddity99[reply]
This is a list of all recurring and main characters of the show, which means that all characters needs to be mentioned in this article. So if a character is mentioned here, it doesn't mean that he doesn't have his own page. --TIAYN (talk) 15:46, 28 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Copy edit

[edit]

Over the past few weeks I conducted a major copy edit per the request made to the GOCE project page. I primarily addressed spelling, grammar, punctuation, some light MOS compliance and cleaned up some awkward language. I will revisit this page over time and continue to make further copy edit improvements as I can identify them. I want to address the past versus present tense format that exists throughout this article, though I have not yet determined the best approach. Thanks. dtgriffith (talk) 04:22, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Possible content move?

[edit]

Given the size of this page, it's perhaps wise to move some of the content off to another page to lighten the load on this one. The possibility is perhaps to split off the Syndicate and "new Syndicate" members to a page listing Syndicate characters, which would cut a meaty chunk from the page length, or to move the Men in Black character information so that the Men in Black (The X-Files) page is the "main" source, with the entries here referring to it, instead of the present situation, which is currently the opposite. I'm reluctant to begin either in case the consensus would be to just leave this page at its current length, so what would the general oinion on this be? Arthur Dales

[edit]

Does Arthur Dales merit entry on this page? Frohike14 (talk) 18:33, 13 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Leyla Harrison

[edit]

Where is Leyla Harrison? She was seen in two seasons. --82.131.37.111 (talk) 18:05, 29 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

"Following Duchovny's departure from the series…"

[edit]

The intro says:

> Following Duchovny's departure from the series, actor Robert Patrick was introduced in the eighth season as the replacement character John Doggett, who was later accompanied by Monica Reyes (Annabeth Gish) in the ninth and final season.

This isn't really accurate. In season 8, the show was listed as starring David Duchovny, Gillian Anderson, and Robert Patrick. Duchovny appeared in 12 of the 21 episodes, and was a major focus in a few of the episodes he didn't appear in. (The main article for the show puts it as "seasons 1-7, main; season 8-9, intermittent lead".) I'm not sure how to put it in one word or a short phrase that is accurate, byte "departure" isn't it.

So I'll try to rewrite the sentence so it doesn't have to describe why Mulder was replaced. --173.228.85.123 (talk) 06:42, 2 August 2014 (UTC)[reply]
