Merge with individual character articles[edit]

  • I'd leave Spike with his own individual character article and make Tyke part of it. After all, if Mammy and Tuffy can have their own articles (decisions I'm okay with), so can the similarly important Spike.
  • I'd move the other characters here, though taking care not to lose any important facts about them in the process. Ramapith (talk) 20:55, 13 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

This list already encompasses Tom & Jerry Kids, rendering a second list superfluous. As such, List of Tom & Jerry Kids characters should be merged here. Neelix (talk) 19:44, 15 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

As of the time I write this, List of Tom & Jerry Kids characters is a horrible mess with tons of incomprehensible sentences. I'm not a fan of 1990s Hanna-Barbera, so I don't even know enough to correct some of the garbled information. Do we really need to bring that stuff here? 174.55.156.79 (talk) 05:27, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There's really very little to merge. What I'm recommending is that List of Tom & Jerry Kids characters redirect to the applicable section on this page. Neelix (talk) 14:34, 17 June 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Jeannie[edit]

I may know too little about Tom and Jerry characters, but there clearly is a confusion between Non-Recurring Characters and Jeannie. Gikü (talk) 21:35, 30 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Toots[edit]

Toots appears in The Zoot Cat too, so that's three appearances for her — Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.191.169.114 (talk) 21:45, 20 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Recategorization[edit]

One off characters should not be a part of the list. As a result I am adding a small subsection for one-off characters. Please take care to mention such characters there.

Origin of names[edit]

Note: Tom's name was not inspired by the tomcat English expression, which means male cat!

It was the animator John Carr who, in an internal competition, sponsored by the MGM, suggested Tom and Jerry in honor of the British soldiers and German World War II: Tommy was the name given to a British soldier and Jerry was the name given to a German soldier who was to become much easier and better identificaçãod and every one!

And, by the way, he received $ 50.00 prize for the input!

If you doubt what I am saying and claiming, can play there on Bing, Yahoo! Search and Google Search as well "John Carr" "Tom and Jerry"! — Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.82.111.190 (talk) 19:43, 30 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]

But I said that it was enough to see about in Bing, Yahoo! Search and Google Search!

Merge 2016[edit]

  • Oppose If article can stand on it's own , which is the case for the main characters then they should exist as individual articles. Devopam (talk) 14:10, 10 February 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Tom and Jerry: The Movie[edit]

Should the characters from Tom and Jerry: The Movie be on this page? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 2601:18D:4701:C4A0:5DBE:2A15:637C:F579 (talk) 19:32, 19 February 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Jerry's 3 Bavarian cousins?[edit]

My son is watching T&J and there are always 3 Bavarian cousins that speak some German words. Could not find any information about them, neither here nor via search engine.--Caeschfloh (talk) 03:16, 28 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
