Tabular format of list[edit]

There seems to be a mini edit war going on here over the format of the tables. Please discuss changes here before editing or reverting. Dabomb87 (talk) 00:03, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

The season-by-season tables have displayed regular-season and playoff totals since their creation in June 2006, and Infonerd2216 has not provided any reason to change the three-year-old format by removing those relevant statistics. —LOL T/C 00:45, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I agree that win totals and percentages are relevant stats. Dabomb87 (talk) 01:21, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Agree with Dabomb87, totals are relevant and it should be restored. - Martin tamb (talk) 01:59, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
I have something to say also. LOL is nothing but trouble because he says that I don't have a reason for my changes I make and I totally disagree with him. You shouldn't be telling people things like that because since December 2008, my work has been paid off and my slogan is; "If you don't like it, then leave it alone and get over it." Infonerd2216 (talk) 02:09, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Infonerd2216[reply]
Infonerd, nobody is discounting your opinions. Can you explain why you think your formatting of the table is superior to the previous version? Dabomb87 (talk) 02:11, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Infonerd, read Wikipedia:Editing policy#Be cautious with major changes: discuss. You've made major changes to the season-by-season record tables without discussion, which is why I've been waiting for your reason to make those changes. —LOL T/C 02:27, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Looking at it from Infonerd's point of view, I notice that List of Houston Rockets seasons#Seasons, a featured list, does not have the totals or percentages listed in the table. This allows the table to be made sortable. Dabomb87 (talk) 02:34, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Adding "sortbottom" to the totals will make them unsortable. If we don't want to have the regular season and playoff totals sorted amongst themselves, then we can merge them into one row. —LOL T/C 02:42, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Look Dabomb87, I can discuss anything I want to say, so don't tell me what to discuss! And LOL, what the heck do you mean I need to add a reason for my changes. There is a user on Wikipedia and he doesn't explain a reason. So LOL, what you need to do is worry about your own work and I will worry about mine. Infonerd2216 (talk) 21:15, 22 May 2009 (UTC)Infonerd2216[reply]

(outdent) There is clear disagreement about the version of the table that should be used. Therefore, we need to discuss the issue. Dabomb87 (talk) 21:43, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Blah Blah Blah! My word, you're boring me to death!
I have reverted back to the consensus version. If you revert to the previous version without further, you will be reported for edit warring. Dabomb87 (talk) 22:03, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Infonerd, providing reasons for your changes during an edit conflict is part of the process of building consensus. So far you've been dodging it every time we've asked for your explanation, so I will help restore the season-by-season tables to the format that has been approved by consensus. Your slogan, "If you don't like it, then leave it alone and get over it", would really fail to benefit Wikipedia because changes that worsen the quality of Wikipedia articles (e.g. vandalism, deletion of notable content) should most definitely be reverted. —LOL T/C 22:39, 22 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Guy, 4 words; You don't scare me! Infonerd2216 (talk) 00:02, 23 May 2009 (UTC)Infonerd2216[reply]
I doubt anyone's trying to scare you; we're just trying to get a consensus so that the edit war may end. —LOL T/C 00:22, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
Well, Infonerd has been indef blocked, so I think we can call this discussion resolved. Dabomb87 (talk) 00:29, 23 May 2009 (UTC)[reply]
