Alternate ending

[edit]

In this article, Alejandro's ending is listed as official and Heather's ending is listed as alternate, but I disagree and I strongly believe heather's ending is the true ending because it aired first and is on Netflix and iTunes and also aired in more countries than Alejandro's ending. However, when I tried to edit it, it said not to because Wikipedia was going by the "Canadian official ending." I really don't think just being Canadian somehow makes Alejandro's ending official, though, and I know it is very controversial among Total Drama World Tour fans as to which ending is official. I think this article should either list heather's ending as official for the reasons I said, or just not say that one ending or the other is official, as I know that one of the Total Drama producers said on a production blog that both endings were equally true for season two, and I assume that would be the same for season three.--Tdlover18 (talk) 00:46, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]

While it could be argued that the first version to air is official, what makes the most sense is to go by the show's country of origin. Since the series is Canadian, the ending that airs in Canada has the best standing as official; ending(s) that air in other countries are alternates.
Would it be better word choice to call it the primary ending instead of the official ending, or would that just muddy the waters more? —C.Fred (talk) 00:53, 20 February 2014 (UTC)[reply]
Okay TDlover is right, there has been way too much debate on whether which ending is official, so in the past few months I've been thinking that we should count both winners as canon, and list them as "Finalists" rather than "1st" or "2nd". The Total Drama Wiki has been counting both winners ever since last year and seeing that there are 10 times more people in the USA than there are in Canada, Heather's ending should be counted just as good as Alejandro's ending. I tried to improve this article and my edits got undone

[edit]

I tried to change the elimination chart so that it listed both heather and Alejandro as Finalists instead of listing one as the official winner and one as the alternate because the producers say all endings are official, but then my edits were undone. why were they undone? this article should list both endings as official. Wait until Zoey wins in Canada and then we will decide what is best Giggett (talk) 01:31, 12 March 2014 (UTC)[reply]
