Two questions

[edit]

First: Should we add known future Grands Départs to the table? Why not?
Second: The table lists a winner for every year. The overall Tour de France winner, that is. But how relevant is it to the 2015 Grand Départ in Utrecht that Chris Froome would win the general classification? He was proclaimed the winner in Paris, and took his victory mainly in mountain stages? Shouldn't we rather add the winner of every prologue or first stage, that is, the cyclist who won the Grand Départ? Steinbach (talk) 10:02, 20 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

On the second at least, I would agree, it makes sense in a list of Grands Departs to have the listed winner being the person who actually won that specific stage. - Chrism would like to hear from you 11:00, 27 July 2017 (UTC)[reply]

I propose to remove the list of winners. We already have articles for those, and it's not relevant to this article. (and not even clear at first sight, the grand depart does not have a winner.) EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 13:04, 11 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]

I was bold and removed the winners from this article. I think we should also remove the "Regions"; it is not very consequent (why Belgian regions are Flanders/Wallonia, and not the provinces?), and I'm sure it is against something in MOS:FLAGS. --EdgeNavidad (Talk · Contribs) 08:44, 15 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
