Ilyushin Il-78 verification needed

The serial # provided for verification turned up one of them. But it's not with the US Navy. http://www.airliners.net/open.file/1088298/M/ --293.xx.xxx.xx 09:00, 17 December 2006 (UTC)

Looks like a joke since I can find no backup anywhere on the net, considering how contraversial this would be it might be best to remove the link and listing until some proof is provided. — Preceding unsigned comment added by 88.155.50.16 (talkcontribs) 18:32, 9 January 2007 (UTC)
Removed the IL-78 entry, it looks like a speculative venture by a company called North American Tactical Aviation (although the aircraft N78GF is registered to AIR SUPPORT SYSTEMS LLC [1]). MilborneOne 20:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

Retired aircraft

Does this list have to include retired aircraft as these are covered better in List of military aircraft of the United States (naval)? (also refer List of military aircraft of the United States and List of active United States military aircraft which covers the active aircraft on the list) MilborneOne 20:33, 4 November 2007 (UTC)

RQ-8 Fire Scout

Shouln't the Fire Scout be listed under the rotary wing aircraft? It does not have an H designation, but it is a rotary, and not a fixed-wig aircraft. (Aracali (talk) 02:54, 14 February 2011 (UTC))

Redirect

Propose that as this article is a duplicate of other articles and that it is redirected to List of military aircraft of the United States (naval). MilborneOne (talk) 16:38, 7 March 2014 (UTC)
