Merge proposal[edit]

A merge proposal has been posted suggesting that this list is merged into the 1970s list.

Oppose - At some point, the decision will have to be made whether to split by year or decade. I believe that the 1970s is where the change should take place. OK, the 1979 list may not have that many entries, but lumping all 1970-79 accidents into one list will make that list excessively long, which is why I've decided to list the 1970s and earlier by year, rather than decade. I agree with Mjroots; the lists from the 1970s and earlier will end up being huge if there is one list per decade. The further back one goes, the more accidents there are, with almost three thousand listed on Aviation Safety Network alone. YSSYguy (talk) 00:53, 1 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]
