[edit]I have nominated this article for deletion per WP:TRIVIA. Most of these awards are not notable by themselves. We should avoid creating long, vague lists. Any relevant awards can be merged elsewhere. 86.158.182.11 (talk) 21:52, 15 December 2014 (UTC)
This page serves no real purpose other than promote the candidacy of Mrs. Clinton. Not all awards are equal and most not worth the paper they were printed on. This is particularly true for all awards "given" to Mrs. Clinton as the wife of the Governor of Arkansas or as the wife of the President of the United States. Too many awards are given to "headliners," who in turn sell seats to promote this or that organization. Bosalino (talk) 21:27, 29 August 2015 (UTC)Bosalino (talk) 21:22, 29 August 2015 (UTC)that organization. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Bosalino (talk • contribs) 21:17, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
- The only reason this is a separate article is that the list is too long to fit in the main BLP article. For others, like say Mitt Romney#Awards and honors, it does fit and there it is located. It doesn't mean the awards are important – see any of Category:Lists of awards by pornographic film actor; or that she's currently held in high regard by others – see List of honours received by Sepp Blatter; or that she's a good person – see List of awards and honours bestowed upon Muammar Gaddafi. It just means it's a long list. Wasted Time R (talk) 13:18, 30 August 2015 (UTC)

On Ben Carson's talk page it has been raised that the Lincoln Medal (an annual award bestowed by Ford's Theatre) ought to be included there, and a page made for it as well. For whatever it's worth Mrs. Clinton was bestowed this one as well, in 1997. Pandeist (talk) 21:42, 10 June 2015 (UTC)
- It is there - see 1997. 67.52.140.5 (talk) 22:50, 6 August 2016 (UTC)
Move? Objections?
[edit]Now that the "base" article is at Hillary Clinton, any objections to moving this one to Hillary Clinton awards and honors? --В²C ☎ 20:18, 11 June 2015 (UTC)
None. The stand alone awards and honors section is not meant to educate or enlighten. It is simply propaganda, or, to be used for "talking points."Bosalino (talk) 21:24, 29 August 2015 (UTC)
