Notability (January 2020)
[edit]I don't understand this list. What does it mean "contributions to culture". There is no such defining category in the real world. Any award on any topic might be seen as a contribution to culture. There are no sources that specifically discuss a unique category of awards about "contributions to culture". This is a made-up genre with broad and unlimited membership and no sourcing. -- GreenC 17:47, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- @GreenC: This list was broken out from List of awards for contributions to society and culture. See the discussion on the talk page of that article. Culture is a broad term, but there are indeed awards for it, e.g. "Outstanding contributions to European culture". I see this list as holding vaguely worded awards like that, while awards for films, books, music etc. would go in more specific lists, Aymatth2 (talk) 18:01, 26 January 2020 (UTC)
- @GreenC and Aymatth2: I made some changes to the list to clarify the scope. I think it's borderline okay. — Alalch Emis (talk) 16:49, 27 November 2021 (UTC)
