It is essential to provide reliable sources when editing this article.
- For examples, see the references section. Unsourced or unreliably sourced additions will be removed immediately.
- The list is frequently edited in good faith; however, sales figures published by reliable sources may need to be verified with certification databases to avoid inflated figures.
Artists without sufficient certifications to support published claimed figures may not be added to the list.
- Editors should expect all albums' claimed figures be supported by the following specified percentage of certified units.
- To be on this list, albums released:
- between 1999-2006 are required to have their available claimed figures of 400,000 certified units, for both local and international albums.
- between 2006 - Oct. 2007 are required to have their available claimed figures of 300,000 certified units, for both local and international albums.
- between Oct. 2007 - Feb. 2008 are required to have their available claimed figures of 300,000 for local and 200,000 for international certified units.
- between Feb. 2008 - Dec. 2009 are required to have their available claimed figures of 250,000 for local and 150,000 for international certified units.
- between Dec. 2009 - Mar. 2012 are required to have their available claimed figures of 200,000 for local and 150,000 for international certified units.
- between Mar. 2012 - present are required to have their available claimed figures of 150,000* certified units, for both local and international albums.
The eras above are based on when certification-databases of each music market began.
*Bolded "150,000" denotes that previous albums, though which were only sold a little bit higher from 150,000 copies without following a certain prior era of required certification, are now included on the list. Gary Valenciano's Greatest Hits' album in 1997 which was only sold 160,000 units, as well as Jolina Magdangal's two consecutive-released albums Jolina (180,000+, released in 1998) and On Memory Lane (160,000+, released in 2000), though didn't make it up to 200,000+ - 400,000+ copies are now allowed to include on the list which followed the March 2012's PARI certification criteria.
Whilst we encourage editors to be bold, it is highly recommended to discuss changes on this talk page before editing.
