Alert: lists of publications in Articles for deletion[edit]

Some lists of books have been added to Wikipedia:Articles for deletion. You can find the discussions here. RockMagnetist (talk) 22:50, 5 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Thanks for this notification, but I don't see this specific page listed in that very discussion. The reason that this page exists is because it'd otherwise clobber up the K2 page. To the history of K2 this is an important issue though, so obviously I think this should stay. Qwrk (talk) 05:27, 6 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]

K2 Book[edit]

May I respectfully suggest that my biography of Godwin-Austen ('The K2 Man (and His Molluscs)', published October 2013; American publication April 2014)be added to the list of useful books on K2. It devotes a substantial section to Godwin-Austen's extensive exploration of the Karakoram, as well as his near-approach to K2, and his measuring of its height and position. The book also contains Godwin-Austen's watercolour of K2 from above Urdukas, the first Western close-sighting of the mountain (August 1861). Thanks to Godwin-Austen's private papers having been released by his family for the first time (to me), my account also corrects a number of errors in Curran, Keay et al. Catherine Moorehead (author).92.7.142.141 (talk) —Preceding undated comment added 22:34, 22 January 2014 (UTC)[reply]
