List of characters in RamayanaCharacters in the Ramayana – This article is not a direct list, but a place to mention insignificant but notable characters. I think this should moved just like Characters in the Mahabharata. An re assessment should be done. .💠245CMR💠.👥📜 07:32, 4 December 2020 (UTC) Relisting. BegbertBiggs (talk) 15:48, 12 December 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Merge

[edit]

Merge Subahu, Subahu (Ramayana), Vishrava, Shrutakirti, Mandavi, Kausalya, Tataka and Angada per my previous proposal. Capankajsmilyo(Talk | Infobox assistance) 07:32, 1 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

  • Oppose
  • Vishrava: Apart from various Ramayana versions, he is referred in the Mahabharata and Puranas also in relation to Kubera
  • Kausalya: As mother of Rama the protagonist, is an important character referred in several Ramayana versions
  • Tataka: Part of several Ramayanas, ethics of killing of a woman by Rama
  • Subahu: Part of several Ramayanas
  • Angada: One of the important characters part of the Ramayana battle.

Support

  • Subahu (Ramayana): Only name mentioned in the epic. Hardly any info beyond that.

Alternate proposal

[edit]

Hello everyone, I have been editing articles related to the Mahabharata and try to add more citations, content and info.

What I have observed is that somehow articles related to Ramayana are not well developed. For example, Dashratha and Kaikeyi, despite being major characters, lack content and ref. Earlier there used to be content and info but no ref, so a user removed info instead of adding ref. There are many more such articles including Manthara, Shatrughan, Bharata (Ramayana), Kumbhakarna and Kaushalya, which are not well developed. I request everyone to see the situation and help by rewriting. I think we should bring back content from the history of articles and add ref.
