Empty column?[edit]

What about adding salary and contract start/end or length dates? With a mandatory source. Something like: "$4 million over 4 years, expires 2010"? Maybe with putting their start date at the school, since the contract expiration won't provide much, especially with JoePa and others. "Eons" doesn't quite work. And their win-loss at the school and overall? Starting to get pretty crowded on the table but all of it would be useful, interesting information. Keeping it up to date would be a chore next year. I'd be fine with leaving it "Prior to the 2007 season" and just fixing it afterwards. --MECU≈talk 02:53, 13 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

nth season at the school certainly. I could see win-loss too. Salary might properly stay in the individual coaches' articles. Btw, USAToday recently did a big study/article on coach's contracts/salaries - great info here except that it's only exposed via Flash (blech).

One thing this article it definitely needs is more links, specifically for the schools (which I had done when I added the C-USA table, but was removed by a subsequent editor) and to the conference in an intro line above each table. The link for the school is preferrably the University Mascots football page, the University Mascots page if no "football" page, or finally the actual University page if necessary. I'm probably going to add an extra column for "First season" next week and let other editors populate it organically. I'm against nth season because it would force every single coach to be updated every year and it would be very tough to ensure all 100+ coaches are correct.
