U.S. 70/U.S. 70N/U.S. 70S in Tennessee[edit]

The bifurcation of U.S. 70 just east of Pegram, Tennessee (but located in Davidson County, Tennessee and just west of the Nashville neighborhood of Bellevue) was originally signed (until the late 1970s) as the splitting of the highway into U.S. 70N and U.S. 70S rather than U.S. 70 and U.S. 70S as it is presently; U.S. 70N at the time went up Charlotte Pike until 46th Avenue North and then crossed over to meet U.S. 70S at the corner of Murphy Rd. and West End Avenue; this is considerably different that the route of U.S. 70 through Nashville in the present day (2016). 2600:1004:B153:C2B4:CC32:6B7F:A4AF:1187 (talk) 03:52, 4 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Requested Move[edit]

List of divided U.S. RoutesList of divided routes of the United States Numbered Highway System – shall have the term United States Numbered Highway System. 2600:1700:6180:6290:60CB:CA76:257F:41DC (talk) 12:46, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

I would hold off on such a move at this moment. I think we should discuss rationalizing some of the nomenclature for consistency so we can remove the hodge-podge that's developed. We may come up with a better plan that involves moving this and several other articles at once. Imzadi 1979  14:28, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
I've started a wider conversation on this topic at Wikipedia talk:WikiProject U.S. Roads#United States Numbered Highway System naming redux, and I would suggest discontinuing this request until that discussion ends. Imzadi 1979  14:47, 19 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Orphaned references in List of divided U.S. Routes[edit]

I check pages listed in Category:Pages with incorrect ref formatting to try to fix reference errors. One of the things I do is look for content for orphaned references in wikilinked articles. I have found content for some of List of divided U.S. Routes's orphans, the problem is that I found more than one version. I can't determine which (if any) is correct for this article, so I am asking for a sentient editor to look it over and copy the correct ref content into this article.

Reference named "DE 1959 map":

I apologize if any of the above are effectively identical; I am just a simple computer program, so I can't determine whether minor differences are significant or not. AnomieBOT 22:14, 31 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
