Column heading "Death place"

[edit]

For those still living, does Wikipedia predict the future? ;-) Perhaps we should change the column heading to Place last living. yoyo (talk) 03:04, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Done! As per editing guideline WP:Bold. yoyo (talk) 04:06, 28 December 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Why born before the 1980s

[edit]

Why is this list "born before the 1980s"? Should Sarah Chang than be removed (born in 1980)? I'd say remove the "born before", any violinist notable enough should be placed in this list. Somewhere in the history of this page in June 2014 it was "born before the 1970s"... — Preceding unsigned comment added by NicoLaan (talkcontribs) 10:07, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

@Epessina: is it because you haven't had a chance to tackle the other decades? –xenotalk 22:06, 6 May 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Why no "List of male violinists"?

[edit]

Sorry I don't have the time now to start the list; does anyone else feel up to the task? NicoLaan (talk) 10:07, 19 December 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Need for expansion

[edit]

More than half of the women included in Category:Women classical violinists need to be added to this list. Unfortunately, Epessina who has done most of the work on it has not been active for over two months and I do not feel I have the time to add some 200 names to the list in its current tabular presentation. I could nevertheless compile a List of women classical violinists by nationality (along the lines of List of women classical pianists) within a week or two. I would be interested to hear from NicoLaan or any others whether this would be a sensible way to go forward.--Ipigott (talk) 16:15, 11 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

In the absence of any responses, I've now completely updated the main chronological list and added a separate list for those without a known date of birth.--Ipigott (talk) 11:36, 20 December 2019 (UTC)[reply]

It seems she was a male: https://prabook.com/web/ara.zerounian/240136 Paucabot (talk) 19:38, 28 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Change of Name of Article

[edit]

The name is inaccurate. It should be considered for it to be changed to "Female Classical Professional Concert Violinists" as is mentioned in the first line of the article itself. Thank you.
