Eugene Debs in Southern Victory[edit]

Eugene V. Debs should not be listed on this article. For one reason, he never became President of the United States in Harry Turtledove's Southern Victory Series. However, he did run for president twice in the series as a candidate of the Socialist Party. He ran in the 1912 and 1916 presidential elections, but lost both elections to Democrat Theodore Roosevelt.

Debs attempted to get the Socialist nomination in 1920, but lost to Upton Sinclair. Sinclair in turn defeated Roosevelt in the 1920 election.

Debs has no purpose of having except when it comes to Back in the USSA, where he actually became president. Could the section on him in the Southern Victory Series be removed from this article? --75.68.122.13 (talk) 13:45, 3 July 2016 (UTC)Jacob Chesley the Alternate Historian[reply]

Well, I removed the Southern Victory section from Eugene Debs on February 2. I answered my own old request from when I was just a wiki contributor. --JCC the Alternate Historian (talk) 14:00, 9 April 2017 (UTC)[reply]
