What happened to the "Fictional Balliol Characters" page? --there was one on Wikipedia a month or two ago and it seems to have been replaced by this page

Literature and discussion on fictional Balliol characters has a long and ancient history --the Wikipedia page that was up could have been the start of something terrific --who took it down and why? It seems to me that it should have been left up so that it could have grown and been added to over time.

I had been myself planning to add Uncle Monty from 'Withnail and I' but there is no point in adding it to some generic Oxford list of fictional characters --far too dilutive a topic to hold anyone's interest.

To whoever took that page down --please put it back up!

Many thanks

Can the editor who made this revert[1] point to where in our guidelines he has support for that statement in his edit summary? I believe he is incorrect. --2603:7000:2143:8500:284F:1640:953:7AA8 (talk) 06:44, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

It's an obvious case of WP:BLUE. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 11:13, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
First of all, that is an essay - one person's view - not a guideline. Secondly, our guidelines require a citation. That what is said in this list is the case is not obvious in the least. --2603:7000:2143:8500:BCE6:9F4B:E3D8:9A43 (talk) 15:19, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
I am well aware of the difference. I am simply pointing out why your edit is not finding wider favour. Jonathan A Jones (talk) 16:04, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
You have failed to provide a proper explanation for violating our rules. 2603:7000:2143:8500:BCE6:9F4B:E3D8:9A43 (talk) 16:33, 16 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]
