Timelines
[edit]Why do most lists timelines stop with 2000s when we're well into the 2010s now? 98.248.89.169 (talk) 23:02, 14 May 2012 (UTC)
Wrong mentions - not only cyborgs
[edit]This topic is in need of attention from an expert on the subject. The section or sections that need attention may be noted in a message below. |
The humanoid robots like androids and terminators are not cyborgs! This page needs purification.
The term cyborg is not the same thing as bionic, biorobot or android; it applies to an organism that has restored function or enhanced abilities due to the integration of some artificial component or technology that relies on some sort of feedback.[1] While cyborgs are commonly thought of as mammals, including humans, they might also conceivably be any kind of organism.

- I know this comment if 4 years old, but I came here to say exactly this. There are quite a few here, such as the Tin Man from Oz, who is a fantastical humanoid made of tin, not a cyborg. Artificially created beings, fantasy/magical creatures, outright robots, etc. should be deleted. I'll make a list of potential deletions here shortly.
