List should be fully chronological, not partly alphabetical and partly chronological

[edit]

Since there have been only five major producers of serials and all the entries under each producer's section header are listed in chronological, not alphabetical order, it is not intuitive to list the five producers' headers alphabetically — "C", "M", "P" "R" and "U" — when the one under "C" — Columbia Pictures — had its first serial title released in 1937, while the one under "U" — Universal Pictures — had its first release back in 1914.

Those searching for a specific studio will see the five studio names in the table of contents and will click on the desired studio name in the TOC, while those who prefer to scroll down the list will be better served if the studios were listed in order of each studio's earliest release.

The same chronological order would apply to the studios which produced only a small number of serials — each studio's name would be listed in the table of contents, thus providing easy access, while enabling the use of chronological order for who prefer to scroll down the list. Since the small-number producers do not, as of this writing, have their own section headers, they cannot be separately accessed from the table of contents. I will therefore create a section header for each small-number producer to determine if there is consensus for such course of action. —Roman Spinner (talkcontribs) 04:02, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]
