Context

[edit]

After the AFD, I thought I'd try to add some context to the article, as most people who supported deletion cited a lack of relevance to the topic. The descriptions I added to the first few examples are something I'm willing to do to the entire list, but I thought I'd get some input from other editors before completing it. I thought I'd list the pianist(s) portrayed in the film and the stars who played them as well as any well known piano pieces featured in the film. If I wikilink everything the page is going to be awfully blue -- is that OK? Maybe I should only link the pianist, or only the piano pieces? Thoughts? Hoof Hearted 14:30, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Hello HoofHearted. This helps, please continue. Having lots of links would be fine. Opus33 15:13, 2 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Replace this list with a category?

[edit]

Having created this list based on (what I felt was) an interesting common thread in movies, I never thought there would be so much debate over this topic. A category would still link the listed films, but lose some of the context described in the list. Perhaps a subcategory of Category:Films by topic, or maybe Category:Films about music and musicians would satisfy everyone? Hoof Hearted 19:28, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Another film

Running on Empty

[edit]

Maybe one can also mention Running on Empty (1988 film). — Preceding unsigned comment added by 46.114.144.238 (talk) 23:55, 11 January 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Context Needed

[edit]

I have cleaned the list of films into several sections. However, I need at least a couple of sentences that fit the context of this article (with citations). In other words, why is this page needed in the first place? Yoshiman6464 (talk) 03:33, 14 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]

It's not. Please feel free to nominate if for deletion. The category more-or-less serves the topic-linking purpose I was originally after. Hoof Hearted (talk) 19:37, 11 July 2016 (UTC)[reply]
