45 Grave
[edit]Untitled
[edit]Can someone tell me why this band has been deleted? It is as much an early horror-band as the original fits were. Cyanid 22:07, 20 March 2007 (UTC)
- It was deleted, along with several other bands, in this edit by User:Jon138 without any explanation. Some of those bands should have deleted because their articles don't call them horror punk (or they have no Wikipedia articles at all), but there seems to be no reason for deleting 45 Grave. - Alright, I'll put it back in the list then Cyanid 18:59, 21 March 2007 (UTC)
Aiden
[edit]ok, someone keeps adding aiden to this list, eventhough it's not in the slighest way alike horrorpunk. just accept it: it's post-hardcore, no matter how loud this band shouts to be 'horror rock'. please stop adding it, because i'll remove it anyway. Cyanid 21:40, 14 May 2007 (UTC) I just removed it. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 71.217.78.181 (talk) 00:23, 4 November 2007 (UTC)
- (ping:71.217.78.181)I agree, and if we were just going by our knowledge of the genre and scene then there's a lot of bands I would like to add (starting with Mister Monster and Plan 9), but cannot b/c they don't have current articles (maybe I'll tackle some: Just did Blitzkid, and it's approved, yeah!). But of course that's not how it goes. There's a review from like Allmusic or Spin or Alternative Press that labels Aiden horror punk, and this has been noted in their article, so whoever adds them is, by the rules, within their rights. What you wrote is what is called "original research" around here, and doesn't fly. I'd add Aiden myself if I didn't happen to actualy agree with you... but I support whoever it is that wants them added.

69 Eyes Horrorpunk?
[edit]I took the liberty of removing the 69 Eyes from the list. They are more of a hard goth rock band. Justyn1337 13:29, 14 July 2006 (UTC)
I personally think the band has very strong connections to horrorpunk, since the singer's voice on most albums is quite deep and brooding, without losing much of the punky edge, and various songs make reference to either horrormovies (such as 'the Crow' and 'From Dusk till Dawn') or occultism. Also, some influences of the band are Elvis and the Doors, which play a major part in influencing the horror-sound. Cyanid 15:43, 28 February 2007 (UTC)
Afi
[edit]Lol AFI are not horror punk--Slogankid 13:07, 16 September 2006 (UTC)
its not that laughable they have done 3 misfits covers and the All Hallows EP is horror punk
The Difference between Psychobilly and Horror Punk
[edit]is obviously lost on all of you. I removed the Nekromantix and the Horrorpops, because though they use horror elements in there music, horror references are also used in psychobilly music. They are quite clearly psychobilly.
the same goes for the Cramps, removed that one too. This is for everybody who doesn't know the difference: to begin with, psychobilly bands use an upright-bass. Cyanid 09:22, 26 February 2007 (UTC)
Zombina and the Skeletones
[edit]For quite some time I saw this band go off the list, then on the list, then off the list and so on. Personally, I'm still puzzling if this band should be or not be on the list since it ís punk, with 50s styled additional music, ánd with subjects like zombies and horrorflicks, while the band dresses up like undead. Yet, most of their music sounds quite like new wave. Any opinions? Cyanid 19:31, 4 April 2007 (UTC)
Bands/Links
[edit]Hm, are we gonna delete the countless links that do not lead to a page or keeping the ones that are genuinely horrorpunk? Cyanid 20:12, 28 June 2007 (UTC)
- Okay, since no one either reacted on this or cleaned the list I'll just state here that only bands that pláy/háve played Horrorpunk and have a link to an existing page on wikipedia should be included in this list.
- NOTE: Again, Psychobilly is nót horrorpunk.. I saw some comments in history about how amazed someone was why the cramps (etc) aren't here... well, tháts because they are not suppósed to be here; add them to psychobilly instead.Cyanid 19:16, 4 July 2007 (UTC)
WEDNESDAY 13!!!! why is he not on here? The Misfits....another obvious omission —Preceding unsigned comment added by 67.142.130.23 (talk) 02:33, 9 December 2008 (UTC)
