A list might not require direct citation if list items refer to subjects of other articles where factual citations are available. In this case, there is no such internal reference. Without a citation, we have no way of knowing if these hospitals are spoofs, if they are still in business, if they have changed names or if they are named correctly in the article. If we have to start by looking for a reference not cited in the article -- i.e. if we have to go looking for an accurate current list of hospitals in Nebraska to be sure this article is correct -- why bother read the Wikipedia article in the first place? I added references that point to all the hospitals. This list should not be a directory of hospitals. I looked up the size of the hospitals in references, in terms of number of beds. Age of the hospital is another factor that could be used to include it. I will work on finding some sources for age of the hospital to determine what should be kept in this list. It is not a list of defunct hospitals, ie it only contains active hospitals.
