Subject

This subject of destroyed monuments but this article as it stands seems problematic. The very first entry, for example, was destroyed by the Taliban when they ruled Afghanistan. So how is that a monument destroyed by war?— Preceding unsigned comment added by Wikiombudsman (talk • contribs)

The distinction between peace and war is always a little blurry. The Taliban remained at war with the Northern Alliance, I believe.--Anders Feder (talk) 02:08, 3 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Article name

Also, all of there seems to be time period narrowing the article content. 21st Century? Otherwise we can go all the way back in history with temples and such being destroyed, but that doesn't seem to be the intended subject matter of this article. Only Middle East?
