I've added hidden sorting keys to the columns containing the dates. If both birth and death date were known, I've picked the death date as I think it has higher priority in case of mummies. If there were several mummies or a estimation period for the real old ones, I took the older date. For a few egypt mummies I checked the articles and estimated a time based on the dynasy and the dates of relatives (e.g. Tjuyu gave birth in 1398 BCE, so I sorted here in a bit after that). Those estimates are not visible anyway and should just help to make the sorting work by years not by words like 'ruled'/'died'/...
If somebody reverts this, I would recommend to make the column unsortable. Oh, and remove Moses from the list again as he definitely is no mummy. -- Cecil (talk) 01:13, 19 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This list is way too broad

[edit]

I suggest that this be a dab page, and that mummies by at least region or type be made into articles. - Knowledgekid87 (talk) 14:43, 21 November 2016 (UTC)[reply]
