Splitting proposal
[edit]I propose that the section about these articles is way too long to read. With more than 241 KB in size, it should split into different pages of list of municipalities of the Czech Republic by regions:
- Municipalities of the Central Bohemian Region
- Municipalities of the South Bohemian Region
- Municipalities of the Plzeň Region
- Municipalities of the Karlovy Vary Region
- Municipalities of the Ústí nad Labem Region
- Municipalities of the Liberec Region
- Municipalities of the Hradec Králové Region
- Municipalities of the Pardubice Region
- Municipalities of the Vysočina Region
- Municipalities of the South Moravian Region
- Municipalities of the Olomouc Region
- Municipalities of the Zlín Region
- Municipalities of the Moravian-Silesian Region

Support - This is a good idea. What about this format for the lists?
Obec | Population (2021) |
Population (2011) |
Change | Land area (km2) | Population density |
---|---|---|---|---|---|
Prague | 1,301,432 | 1,268,796 | +2.6% | 496.21 | 2,622.7/km2 |

Oppose. Imho the page is easily navigable and the current length does not matter. Since it's an alphabetical list, it won't read like prose, so "too long to read" isn't an argument for me. If it should be divided, I suggest splitting back to the existing lists: List of municipalities in the Czech Republic: A – I, List of municipalities in the Czech Republic: J – M, List of municipalities in the Czech Republic: N – R, List of municipalities in the Czech Republic: S – Z (from which I merged it boldly).
I'm definitely against Mattximus' proposal. It is pointless to do it for all municipalities and in such detail. Such a comparison would be meaningful if all municipalities were on the same page, not splitted. Also none of the European countries with a similarly high number of locations have it that way.
