Adding another article to "the Project"[edit]

Hey, why wasn't this article added to "the Project" a long time ago? No biggie! It is now. ProfessorPaul 05:36, 18 August 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can we separate out daily and non-daily papers? How would we go about it using this format?[edit]

Using the tables you can just sort on the frequency, separating the daily and non-daily papers. Other than that the information could be separated into two tables - one for daily papers and one for others. There are a few other state newspaper lists (like Connecticut) that separate the daily and non-daily papers. There are actually technically separate lists for daily and weekly/non-daily newspapers, though from the discussion they should be/were to be merged. If you want to separate out the information into a "daily" and a "non-daily/weekly" table and see how that looks that would be fine with me. I think it looks better as one table, though it is getting large.Narthring (talkcontribs) 23:00, 10 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I'll definitely leave it in the current format. I didn't realize the table was re-organizable. That's perfect. THanks a lot. Okiebradshaw (talk) 21:03, 12 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Publisher Column?[edit]

I have a question about the Publisher column of this table. In a sense, publisher can mean owner. Many of these newspapers seem to have an owning company. At the same time, publisher is a position at a newspaper. It can often be akin to general manager. Finally, there is the meaning of who actually physically publishes the paper. Many outsource this service. Just to be clear, we want to list the owner/company and if it is family-owned, would you like me to put independent? Okiebradshaw (talk) 15:30, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I added the column based on the Wisconsin newspaper list. That column is actually called "Publisher/Parent company", so it might be appropriate to rename the column on the table so it is more clear. I think if it is family owned then calling the publisher "independent" would be appropriate. Narthring (talkcontribs) 16:20, 15 March 2010 (UTC)[reply]
