I'm suggesting to rename this article List of International non-governmental organization in Vietnam and start an obvious Local non-governmental organization in Vietnam which is different. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 118.71.167.130 (talk) 13:54, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The quantity of ngo's with local origin is too small to make them a separate list. Nearly all of them are financed from abroad. Though nobody could prevent creating the other List of local ngo's. Ans-mo (talk) 14:22, 4 March 2008 (UTC)[reply]

The list on this page contains only some of the international NGOs in Viet Nam, about 125 of about 800 INGOs registered by PACCOM. A full list will include INGOs which (I assume) do not have organisation entries in Wikipedia, so filling out this list may also mean creating pages for those INGOs. Is this correct? PACCOM (a VN Government agency) may not 'formally' provide the full INGO list, but the NGOs all have contact details that can establish their presence in Viet Nam. A good many other categories of International organisation also have projects in Viet Nam, among them universities or agencies of bilateral or multilateral organisations. How are these to be represented? Local, or Vietnamese NGOs have been published by the Institute for Social Science (ISS) http://iss.org.vn/index.php?act=search_tc in Vietnamese. There exist almost 400 of these agencies officially registered, accordion to this source (the previous posting is wrong. Someone might update the page of Vietnam Union of Science and Technology Associations. So the question is how to edit this page. Should there be separate pages for Local and International NGOs as suggested above, or should they be combined? Finally, the links on this page go to general pages for the relevant INGOs -- which is good because these are most stable. But these do not indicate what projects occur in Viet Nam. How should one represent this? Or is it too specific for the Wikipedia? I'd like to do some work on this page. Vernweitzel 06:44, 9 April 2012 (UTC)
