Name change[edit]

Shouldn't this be List of oldest current National Basketball Association Players in 2009-10 season or one of the below:

  • List of oldest current NBA Players as of the 2009-10 season
  • List of oldest current basketball Players as of the 2009-10 NBA season

What happens when the next season starts? Then this article won't be current anymore. -- Esemono (talk) 06:05, 5 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

  • simplifying; we shouldn't have to rename the article after every season -- Zagalejo 18:45, 16 May 2010
  • As it stands now each time someone retires the table will have to be updated. Instead of changing the table every month or changing the title every season there should be a new article for every year. i.e. List of oldest basketball Players as of the 2008-8 NBA season-- Esemono (talk) 21:34, 16 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]
Actually, the line "As of the end of 2009–10 season" already shows that this is current, so there is no need to do that. And updating is required.—Chris!c/t 01:27, 17 May 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've moved the list back to List of oldest National Basketball Association players because now this includes both oldest active players and oldest all-time players. — MT (talk) 16:16, 8 February 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Criteria for Inclusion[edit]

I haven't watched this page too extensively, but the current list of active oldest players is at 20 players, and the all-time list is at 21. Shouldn't Danny Shayes be removed to keep continuity across both sections? 20 seems like a nice round number to have listed. My only thought otherwise was that since Nat Hickey came back way after retirement, there was an extra player in there so to have 20 completely legitimate players. Just curious if there was a system or not. Webinator14 (talk) 04:05, 2 June 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Oldest NBA Player[edit]

The oldest active player is Jamal Crawford. Not Haslem. Bokodis (talk) 04:16, 9 July 2020 (UTC)[reply]
