It might be a good idea to move this page to "List of organizations historically described as Communist fronts by the United States federal government, since everything on this page is at least 60 years old.
Fair point -- but then you should move lots of other related items to "historical," which could raise issues of accuracy or fairness... IMO, it's not worth the effort, while the main point is that the information is find-able. - Aboudaqn (talk) 22:08, 22 April 2021 (UTC)[reply]

My primary motivation is the lowercasing. I personally prefer keeping the distinction between the country and the federal government of the country, but I can see why some would consider that obvious. — BarrelProof (talk) 22:25, 9 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Support on lower case but there has to be a good title that is much shorter. I doubt that readers will search on such a title but arrive at the target through links. ProposeListed communist fronts. This is not a list constructed by WP but a reporting of organisations listed by the HUAC or the attorney general. The lead defines the detail of the scope of the article - the who, what, when, why and how. Per WP:AT, concision is preferred over unnecessary precision. There is no actual conflict in titles with the proposal that necessarily requires greater precision for disambiguation. At the most, I see we might add US/U.S. parenthetically. Listed communist fronts means they were listed as communist fronts because they had been found to be communist fronts by the HUAC and AG. Whether they actually were does not change the fact that they were listed as such. It is also why we have the lead, to give nuance to a concise article title. Like SchreiberBike, I think "Listed communist fronts" would mean they were communist fronts that were listed, not that they were organizations that were listed as communist fronts but may have only been "included out of convenience or political expedience" and may not have had any real "covert organizational ties or actual subversive intent". — BarrelProof (talk) 00:29, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]
