Gujarati Vs. From Gujarat[edit]

Are we drawing a distinction between people who are 'Gujarati' (Gujarati people) or people who are from Gujarat? I believe this page currently has both. DevanJedi 19:05, 7 February 2006 (UTC)[reply]

bhagyendra patel[edit]

Bhagyendra is a poet and artist. He works an editor with National Book Trust, India. He has published several poems, stories, reviews and other articals in various newspapers/magazines in Gujarati, Hindi, English. He has also translated various books for children.

Proposed rename to "List of Gujarati people"[edit]

Seeing as how this list includes people who are of Gujarati descent but have never necessarily stepped foot in the state (e.g. Kal Penn, Ben Kingsley, Freddie Mercury) — in other words, they are not strictly from Gujarat — I propose that this article be renamed to List of Gujarati people.
