Pauline Nyiramasuhuko[edit]

Where is Pauline Nyiramasuhuko? — Preceding unsigned comment added by Jvitre (talkcontribs) 18:03, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]

You can arrange the first column by last name by pressing the button with two triangles next to the word "name" at the top of the column. – Zntrip 19:32, 29 June 2011 (UTC)[reply]
so does that mean that the list is normally arranged in the order of who was indicted/tried first? --Thehistorian10 (talk) 17:59, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Yes, it is ordered by the date of indictment and if individuals were indicted on the same day then they are ordered alphabetically. – Zntrip 18:13, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

missing charges for fugitives[edit]

Even though fugitives are listed, with relevant links to their indictments in the References, the number of charges per category is not listed in the table - see, for example, the entry for Félicien Kabuga - his indictment is referenced, but the number of charges is not shown in the table. --Thehistorian10 (talk) 18:01, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I'm not sure I understand. The amended indictment against Félicien Kabuga (which is referenced in the table) lists five counts against him: four counts of genocide and one count of crimes against humanity. That is reflected in the table. In the row for Kabuga, the second column is the date of his indictment (29 August 1998) followed by the column that lists the counts of genocide (4), and then the column that lists counts of crimes against humanity (1). – Zntrip 18:18, 20 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

93 or 96 indicted?[edit]

This page says that the ICTR indicted 96 individuals, while the ICTR's own factsheet states 93 (last updated March 2021). As someone with limited knowledge of the ICTR, I have no basis to understand this discrepancy. Is the ICTR factsheet based on different criteria? Is either the ICTR or this page in error? Should there be a footnote explaining to readers why they will find different figures here compared to the official source? Axver (talk) 07:14, 12 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

The factsheet seems to exclude several persons indicted for contempt. I don't think a footnote is needed, it is just an error with that particular source. – Zntrip 07:09, 13 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for this reply. Honestly, I think this merits clarification. Anyone without detailed knowledge of the topic searching online for info will find both this page saying 96 and the official factsheet saying 93 in their top hits and have no basis to comprehend why there is a discrepancy. Moreover, they are likely to consider the UN source superior to Wikipedia—you may say it is an error with the UN source, but it is a prominent one and people are often taught to be sceptical of Wikipedia (rightly or, in my view, wrongly). It strikes me as necessary to explain to a reader why this discrepancy exists. Axver (talk) 12:53, 2 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
I'm not sure it merits clarification since it is not a source for this article. What exactly would a note look like? The factsheet itself includes the disclaimer that it is "not an official document" and was last updated in March 2021. Perhaps a better idea would be to contact the IRMCT external relations office to point out the error. I think if both of us sent them an e-mail asking why Aphrodis Bugimgo (case no. ICTR-99-54-R77.1) and Deogratias Sebureze and Maximilien Turinabo (both indicted in case no. ICTR-99-54-T) are not included in the factsheet, they may correct it. – Zntrip 20:34, 3 June 2023 (UTC)[reply]
