Proposal to consolidate columns[edit]

In order to provide space for the notes column, I am proposing that the year of listing in the National Register be moved below the number and that the parish be moved below the locality.Phmoreno (talk) 19:04, 25 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Listing the year and reference number together may be confusing, but I wouldn't oppose removing the date column completely, since the individual articles and county NRHP articles will have the dates. I suggest moving this proposal to List of plantations in the United States though, because it and all of the state subpages would need to be reformatted also. If no one responds there, then have at it. Speaking from my experience in creating most of these pages, just removing the date column from even one list will entail a lot of work. I know it will require some work but the space is badly needed for the notes. I have been to a few of these plantations and would like to point out a few significant highlights about them. Adjusting the column widths gives more space, but I still think we need to move the parish below the locality and eliminate that column. Do not agree about consolidating parish/county and locality. Removing the date designated column completely and adjusting columns created plenty of space for notes on List of plantations in Mississippi. Altairisfar (talk) 03:49, 30 January 2013 (UTC)[reply]
