Brazilian presidents

[edit]

According to Presidentes do Brasil (São Paulo: Cultura Editores, 2002), Venceslau Brás Pereira Gomes and Delfim Moreira were cousins (see pages 191 and 206). I am trying to discern whether they were first cousins or whether it was a more distant kinship.

Italy. The Medici family

[edit]

I removed the voice dedicated to the Medici family, which was only one of ancient reigning family in Italy, such as the Gonzagas of Mantua, the Estes of Ferrara, the Viscontis and the Sforzas of Milan and so on. I notice it was focused over papacy, but with wrong links: this family had twoo popes: Giovanni (Leo X), son of Lorenzo, (unofficial) Sov. Lord of Florence and Giulio (Clemens VII), son of Giuliano, Lorenzo's brother and himself an unofficial sov. Lord of Florence. Alessandro was the first Sov. Duke of Florence, not a pope. He was son of Lorenzo II and son-in-law of Roman Emperor Carl V. You could include this voice in Pope's State/Vatican City, not Italy. By the way there was a larger family of related Popes deriving by Senator Teofilatto and his daughter Marozia around the year 1000.

Iran

[edit]

According to the article on Gholam-Ali Haddad-Adel he is not married to Ayatollah Khamenei's daughter rather his daughter is married to the Ayatollah's son. Can some one clarify and correct?

parentheses

[edit]

Is there a good reason for putting everything but the names in parentheses? I'd write it this way:

  • Bobo Craxi (son of Bettino Craxi) — former leader of the New Italian Socialist Party, then leader of The Italian Socialists now merged in the Socialist Party

Should we include states with limited recognition?

[edit]

[[1]]

Should this list include countries like Taiwan, Kosovo, Abkhazia, South Osetia, Sahrawi Arab Democratic Republic and Northern Cyprus? For example, first president of the Northern Cyprus (Rauf Denktaş), has a son (Serdar Denktaş) who is a politician too. These countries might have limited recognition but this does not mean that political families in these countries do not exist. I think they should be in this list.

Missing

[edit]

Off the top of my head, it is missing the Barbour family of the United States. SecretName101 (talk) 10:26, 22 May 2021 (UTC)[reply]
