No political parties?[edit]

This seems like a really dubious claim. According to the Australian Electoral Commission Christmas Island is part of the federal Division of Lingiari and participates in Australian federal elections. The island also has its own elected council, the Shire of Christmas Island. Nick-D (talk) 07:45, 6 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]
