Size[edit]

@Monako Kin: I agree it's useful to have some indicator of size, since they vary by multiple orders of magnitude, but the exact number would change very frequently.

  1. What's the source(s) for the size of the preprint servers?
  2. Perhaps size should just rounded to one sig. fig., or even just order of magnitude?
  3. There should be a note in the column heading about the date for which these are accurate (if data pulled from a single source) or after each number if it's sourced from each website (perhaps even a link to the search results and date searched, e.g. this search term used for Zenodo)
  4. Some servers 'convert' preprints to published articles where the doi of the published article is a version of the doi of the preprint, whereas others only host preprints that may have a published version elsewhere, so the numbers might not line up across systems. e.g. F1000 is listed as having 3700 current preprints, but pretty much every article they've ever published would have been a preprint on their server at some point.

What do you reckon? T.Shafee(Evo&Evo)talk 07:48, 22 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

1, 2, agree, confusing, date missing also. LeonardoSmi (talk) 11:49, 16 May 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Add platform?[edit]

I would be interested in the addition of a column to indicate the platform/software that each repository is using. Devinberg (talk) 22:11, 17 February 2021 (UTC)[reply]
