Not homegrown as defined on linked page[edit]

Looking randomly at these entries, a large number are not 'homegrown' in the sense that is in the linked article (ie they are often/usually residents, but not citizens, nor even 'raised' in the country attacked). The list originally used the descriptor "lone-wolf terrorists" as shown here but was changed to "homegrown perpetrators" over concerns about WP:TERRORIST. Most appear to be long-term residents (ie not wholly 'foreign'), but I don't know what the best term would be, it doesn't necessarily have to be a single criteria. Pincrete (talk) 19:00, 22 August 2017 (UTC)[reply]

If multiple criteria can be used, how about This section of the list of rampage killers contains mass murders, committed by homegrown perpetrators, lone wolves and other individuals who are violent non-state actors, that have a foremost religious, racial or political background. I don't think that ranking it by number of victims is a good idea[edit]

I know that Wikipedia is not censored, but I think ranking these killers by number of victims (by default, at least) might encourage people to try to kill as many people as possible, or at least "celebrates" the accomplishments of the killers. I also doubt ...that they think about wikipedia much. They DO however, think about numbers. https://arstechnica.com/tech-policy/2015/10/ominous-messages-left-on-4chan-day-before-oregon-college-killings/ was all I could easily find with a quick google search. I could've sworn I'd seen something about a social media post where a young man was hoping to get a high score or kill as many as possible. Either case, I support deleting the column, as it provides essentially a morbid scoring list that serves little to help inform the public in any useful or educational regard. The article is already tagged, so I'll just reiterate what the tagger meant: every single one of these entries needs to be cited to a reliable secondary source that explains the details listed in the table and why it qualifies to be in this article (scope: rampage killers committing religious, political, or ethnic crimes.)
