Duplicate article[edit]

Either of the two would do it?! See List of people granted asylum. Can't see how they are different.

Distinguish this page from list of people granted asylum[edit]

The way I interpret the collection of people in this article is that those listed here became successful public figures despite and after having been refugees.

The way I interpret the collection of people in the list of people granted asylum is that those listed there became refugees/sought asylum because of their prior actions. They became refugees because they were successful public figures.

Another possible distinction is that list of people granted asylum includes only those (which it seems to do) who have undergone individual status determination and not as members of a group or in escape of general turmoil.

Then you could say the list of refugees includes everyone else (fleeing from group persecution and general turmoil).

Does that make sense to other people? Could either of the two be used to distinguish these two articles better which are otherwise duplicates? Michtrich (talk) 21:30, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]

What seems to make most sense to me is to change both articles' titles. This one should be list of refugees who became famous people and the other one should be list of famous people who became refugees. A few people would need to be moved from here to the other page then.Michtrich (talk) 22:01, 26 May 2020 (UTC)[reply]
