I didn't create new articles from it, but did just do a sweep of adding river flow data from it to existing articles. GRBerry 01:31, 8 May 2006 (UTC)[reply]

More rivers

[edit]

I'm adding all water bodies with "River" in their name, from the federal Geographic Names Information System. This will include rivers that are only tidal -- do other editors approve? One drawback of going with a list of things named "River" is that it tends to skew towards coastal rivers -- there are plenty of quite large watercourses in the interior of Maine which are named "Stream" or even "Brook". In New Hampshire, we solved this by including any stream or brook which was longer than 10 miles. Something similar could work here... --Ken Gallager 12:09, 28 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Given that this list is well below 50% blue links, I'm in no hurry to see even more things added. That solution could well be viable, and I have no objection to any such existing articles being added. But let's not flood with redlinks until we get the coverage of the current list more complete.
