Merge all "List of state leaders in 1... 100" page to here

[edit]

There are far too many "List of state leaders in 0000" pages. The state leaders in 1960 is very nearly the same as state leaders in 1961. It is very combersome to verifiy, maintain, and navigate the hundereds of pages like this. For earlier times it should merged into lists of state leaders by century (Such as this page). For more recent centuries, they can split by either decade or another method. tahc chat 22:49, 8 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]

Since there are no objections I will boldly make these merges. tahc chat 05:27, 13 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I fully agree with the changes you're making. I notice most of the pages going back to the 20th century BC include Irish kings, when none of them before the 5th century can be considered historical, and even in the 5th and 6th century the names, succession, status and especially dates are very uncertain. I also noticed kings of Alba Longa on some of the pages, who are also legendary. Once the pages are reorganised to be more manageable, they need to be looked at to remove anything that's not actually history. --Nicknack009 (talk) 21:40, 15 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
I also find the whole idea of separating these per year impractical, and I can't see the use of it at all. Why would anybody need a list of all state leaders per year? These can all be merged into decades IMO. --OpenFuture (talk) 16:54, 18 March 2016 (UTC)[reply]
You guys really can't think of a reason someone might want to look up who all the leaders in a given year were? john k (talk) 01:29, 23 March 2024 (UTC)[reply]
