Monofilaments =? Polymers

[edit]

Can someone clarify please.

Are monofilaments polymers? no,monofilaments are not polymers —Preceding unsigned comment added by 61.2.0.67 (talk) 03:52, 28 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]

This page is not clearly differentiated in purpose from Polymer. I think that either this page should be renamed List of synthetic polymers or it should be expanded into a discussion of synthetic polymers that somehow differentiates it from the Polymer page in a meaningful way. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Locke9k (talkcontribs) 21:15, 2 June 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I have now renamed it List of synthetic polymers. Acrylics

[edit]

This page is definitely sub-optimal in purpose, and should be incorporated into Polymers. Also, it needs to include all polymers, notably the missing acrylics. Art4med (talk) 17:41, 9 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

missing info

[edit]

This page is definitely an underachiever. there is no mention of acrylics, PET, silicones and rubbers... much to do! — Preceding unsigned comment added by Fsikkema (talkcontribs) 08:45, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

New Summary Figure

[edit]

I just added a link to my self-made summary table of common polymers. It's illegible when run as a thumbnail so it's currently an inline figure.

Overview of chemical structure and uses of common polymers.

Please do let me know if anything looks off here, I've worked with most of these polymers on one project or another but I am not a chemist! Olawlor (talk) 00:36, 25 June 2021 (UTC)[reply]
