Use

[edit]

Why are nearly all chimneys with heights of 200 metres and more part of power stations and why have only few smelters, oil refineries, steel mills and chemical factories such high chimneys? — Preceding unsigned comment added by 84.139.125.45 (talk) 00:54, 16 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Tallest chimney in Germany

[edit]

The tallest chimney in Germany never had been the demolished chimney of the former Westerholt power plant. The measure heigt 337,5 meters was a mistake. In fact, this chimney only had a height of app. 300 m. The tallest chimney in Germany is the chimney of the Buschhaus coal power plant, with a height of 307 m. --Holger1974 (talk) 16:27, 22 August 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Review of chimneys > 200 m

[edit]

During the translation of this article in French (see fr:Liste des plus hautes cheminées), I made a detailled review of all informations.

Whoah. I didn't gess so many chimneys were so badly described.

I hope I have improved this list.
