Adding the name of another teacher of Advaita Vedanta.

[edit]

You can add the name of Tibbetibaba ,another great exponent of Advaita Vedanta. --Badshah165 (talk) 14:07, 2 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone can add names, but you should include a reliable citation. David Spector (talk) 18:21, 4 November 2011 (UTC)[reply]

This needs the addition of at least one American name, James Swartz, whose book on Advaita Vedanta is highly regarded. "How to Attain Enlightenment: The Vision of Nonduality," Sentient Publications (February 16, 2010). He teaches through his website shiningworld.com. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Markborthwick (talkcontribs) 21:54, 10 December 2013 (UTC)[reply]

Deletion by 98.242.108.237 undone

[edit]

I have undone the deletion by unregistered editor 98.242.108.237 of the entry for Adi Da because the editor provided no explanation or reason for the deletion. David Spector (user/talk) 00:15, 10 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Move-proposal

[edit]

I think that it would be better to call this page "Advaita teachers"; not all teachers listed here are Vedanta, nor is Advaita confined to the Vedanta-tradition. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 11:54, 12 April 2015 (UTC)[reply]

"Advaita Vedanta is in Guru-Shishya parampara." ???

[edit]

I'm sorry, but I have no idea what that means. And the rest of the lead doesn't even link Advaita and is extremely poorly written. And of course the entire article is based on 3 sources. User:Joshua Jonathan how can we get this article fixed? Doug Weller talk 19:33, 8 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Either just accept it, or blow it up -that is, delete it. A category would suffice. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 20:33, 8 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
@Doug Weller: I'm going to merge Parampara with Guru–shishya tradition; and List of teachers of Advaita Vedanta with Advaita Guru Paramparā. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 07:37, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
Done. Joshua Jonathan -Let's talk! 08:23, 9 January 2019 (UTC)[reply]
