There is a mistake in Guadalajara, there is one sister city missed: Saint Petersburg Russia is a sister City of Guadalajara Mexico

It seems to be listed now 69.126.127.193 (talk) 01:50, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

What about Guaymas, Sonora? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 189.152.121.31 (talk) 00:03, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

There are three sister cities listed at the Guaymas article. It would be great if you, or anyone else, found a reference to back the claims, cite the reference(s) within the Guaymas article, then also listed it and its sisters here with the reference cited. 69.126.127.193 (talk) 01:55, 7 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Globalize

[edit]

Clean up performed in May 2014 turned this into a list of sister city relationships between Mexico and the United States (the sole source, Sister Cities International, only covers city pairs where one end is the United States). Mexico has sister cities in many other countries. Please add them, identifying your sources inline.Worldbruce (talk) 08:00, 16 February 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Entries must be sourced individually

[edit]

Recently a considerable number of unsourced editions were made. (1) I erased all unsourced entries of non-US cities: those are not taken care of by Sister International anyway. (2) In any case, even for US cities, individual entries must be sourced, as this interactive list of Sister International doesn’t seem to be complete at all. For instance, Zacatecas was indicated to be twinned with 7 US cities. But SI doesn’t confirm any of them (I erased these): so either SI is very lacunary, or the claims were false. Twinnings with cities outside United States are not taken care of by Sisters International: I erased these. Moreover, I randomly checked twinnings with US cities, and came to the conclusion that for practically none of the Mexican cities all the twinnings claimed with US cities were confirmed by Sisters International: this is just not acceptable, so I erased all entries not individually sourced. Finally I erased some entries "sourced" by wikipedia pages. Sapphorain (talk) 17:36, 12 January 2018 (UTC)[reply]
